Very rare species

A beautiful, rare, medium-sized palm similar to the Betel Nut and native to lowland rainforests on the Philippine island of Mindanao. It grows a slender, smooth, ringed, green trunk. Its green crownshaft holds an elegant crown of keeled, ascending leaves with broad, glossy green leaflets. In cultivation it is best suited to the tropical garden where it is easy and fast growing and has great potential as a landscape plant.
