Bismarckia nobilis (Green)

Vast stands of this green-leaved form of Bismarckia nobilis are still found in the lowland savannas of northwestern Madagascar, but due to frequent fires, regeneration is poor. The green form is much less frequent in cultivation than the silver-leaved form but thrives under the same conditions.
