Very rare species

A very slender palm from the undergrowth of tropical rainforests in Papua New Guinea with large, fishtail-shaped leaflets and a narrow, bluish-green crownshaft. The large, juicy, yellow fruits each contain a single, curiously winged seed. In cultivation it is best suited to a humid, tropical climate.
