Very rare species
At last we are able to offer in commercial quantities one of the fabulous and cold hardy miniature Brazilian Butias that are SO ornamental, and SO difficult to find. This is a superb species, with a maximum height of only about 90cm (3ft). It is a delightful, rare, dwarf species characterized by an underground trunk, very narrow leaflets and woolly inflorescence spathes. Like all other Jelly Palms it is very easy to grow and highly adaptable to a wide range of conditions. Seeds should be left to dry for a while before sowing for best results.
